A Quiet evening.....

Well things have calmed down considerably -Dan's blood pressure after another change of his meds has leveled out and we hope it stays that way. We took a walk late this afternoon and then ordered a late dinner. Dan ate very well tonight which is good--he said he hopes it all stays down.

We are hoping for a quite night... and hopefully some needed rest. We are so glad this day came and is now behind us. We just pray everyday brings a little more strength and good news.

Hopefully if Dan is doing good tomorrow... I will go home for a few hours and do a little laundry and oh yes I guess pay the rent would be good. My how you loose track of time while here.

We met another couple in our pre-admission class and he will have his transplant on Wednesday so keep those prayers coming and include him in your prayers- his name is Roger Gainer and his wife is Sandy. They are from Virginia I believe if mine and Dan's memory is correct.

It is so good to hear from everyone by commenting here or on facebook--makes this journey a little
easier to be on.

Love to all,
Rhonda and Dan

  1. HiDan & Rhonda, you both have been in our thoughts and prayers, and it was wonderful surprise to get your email this morning. We are both so relieved things are working out great. We might be half way around the world but this modern technology makes all this possible and the doctors in Houston are clearly world leaders

    1. So glad to hear from you ... we had a rough night ... he has a lot of fluid built up ... so he was having some chest pain and shortness of breath... they gave him some Lasix and that caused him to be up and down going to the bathroom so he finally is getting some rest.

  2. As the lyrics of the song go, "one day at a time sweet Jesus...", so it is for you two. One step, one day, one hurdle at a time equals victory. Remind Dan that just because he has those 20 something stem cells in him that does not make the female nurses fair game!

  4. So sorry to hear that Dan had a rough night. It will be just step at a time, but each step will take him closer to recovery and his new 26 year old self. Prayers and love
